Last week a crew of twenty-five, including seven young men from a UO fraternity, weeded, mulched, and dug their way up the Summit Path.

This coming Tuesday, Feb 16, in the Rhodie garden, volunteers will help beautify the garden areas along Barto’s Path, one of the paths coming down from the main garden loop. Just head around the main loop to find us. For those of you who are interested in Hendricks Park history, here’s an article about James Barto of Barto’s Path fame who donated many Rhododendrons to Hendricks Park when the garden was just getting started.
In the Native Plant Garden, please note our schedule change for the upcoming two weeks. Volunteers will meet on Monday, Feb 15 and Monday, Feb 22 from 1-4 p.m. instead of Thursdays. Send an RSVP if you think you’ll attend and aren’t a regular part of this group.  Everyone is welcome to help enhance this developing part of the park.
